moving pARTs explores our shared yearning to connect and move with others. Seeking beauty in the mundane, this film reimagines the daily comings and goings as opportunities to imagine and experience something new, different, and inspiring. Filmed in two MBTA stations–Ashmont station in Dorchester and Alewife station in Cambridge–watch as the dancers immerse themselves in their journey.
“As relevant now as at any point in our history, moving pARTs is a reminder that we are better and more resilient when we celebrate the commonalities among our differences. Seeking the best in each other brings us closer to our artistic identities and allows us to shape our society together. Beauty is everywhere, we just have to be vulnerable enough to absorb the nuances of life. It takes parts that move our hearts to continue to hope and bring peace within ourselves.” –John Lam
“The work unfurls as a metaphor for humanity’s shared journey, reimagining our routine movements from here to there as moments to experience something new.” -The Boston Globe
